Too Many Tennents Tennancies Terminated
Ian Potter, the A.R.L.A operations manager '...strongly supports the idea.....and firmly believes the government could do more to mitigate the stress of tenants facing homelessness' From April, government legislation will come into force, which gives tenants seven weeks notice of an order to re-posses being sought. The aim of the legislation is to ensure tenants receive more notice in the event of impending repossession to their homes. This, however, comes at the wrong time in the repossession process for it to be of any practical use to the tenant, given the fact that most landlords require a months notice, and most people require longer to save for rent advances on new homes. So words without action again from the government, but at least there is a dialogue about the situation.
